Father and Son

Last night, Hubby and I were watching tv while the children were running around doing their thing in the final hour before bed.  Apparently my littlest one was ready for bed so he crawled up in Daddy’s arms for some snuggles and nodded off.  Aren’t they sweet?!

Where in the world?

Hello!  Wondering where I’ve been?  I’m taking a photography class right now from the awesome Wendy Schulz.  As with many things in life, sometimes you get worse before you get better when you are trying new techniques and learning new things.  So…  you won’t see me for a little while.  Hopefully, when I come back to you I’ll be much better though!

In the meantime, here is a picture of my baby when he last got his haircut.  He looks so much older to me!  I can hardly take it.

This is my beautiful daughter.  She was my gracious model today.  Isn’t she lovely?  I’m smitten.

Granddaughters

The little girl you see in the background is the granddaughter of the woman in the background.  The woman in the background is the granddaughter to the woman who handmade the quilts in the foreground.  I think the little girl feels the same love with her grammy that the grammy felt when she was with her own grandmother.  That explains her attachment to these quilts!  I absolutely love this picture.  Thanks to Karen Russell for inspiring me to take this shot.

Let them eat cake

We are in Myrtle Beach this weekend visiting my parents just after Christmas.  Today we went to the beach where my daughter and my mom spent about 45 minutes feeding the birds.  I think some was bread and some was stale cake.  It was so fun to watch my daughter enjoying herself so much.

Sad friend

Yesterday I had a very pregnant friend loan me her sweet little girl while she ran to the post office with a big package to mail.  She didn’t think she could handle the big box and the baby so I scored a photo subject for half an hour!  Now this little girl is such a sweet easy going little lady that I thought this would be a peace of cake.  As you can see, she wasn’t in the mood.  Even with tears she is totally sweet!

 

Finally she noticed the bear and took an interest.  I love that bubble!

And she loved all the little toys the Santas were holding…

Then I took one last photo before scooping her up for some lovin’. 

Boys, boys, boys

Well, hello there!  Do you remember me?  Yeah, it’s been awhile.  Sorry about that.  I have been working, I just haven’t had the time to share it here.  I intend to post more in the coming weeks.  I promise.

This past Friday, my boy was standing at the window watching the rain.  I couldn’t resist snapping a couple shots of him.  After playing with them on the computer a bit, I can’t decide which one I like best!
